This is an announcement regarding requests for course capacity increases for major courses offered by the School of Northeastern Asian Studies for the Fall Semester 2026.

1. How to Apply

• Submit the Google Form via the following link: Application Form

2. Application Period

• Tuesday, August 24, 2026, 2:00 PM – Thursday, August 26, 2026, 10:00 AM

3. Important Notes

• Applications are restricted strictly to major courses. (General education and non-major courses cannot be requested.)

• If you wish to request capacity increases for multiple courses, submit a separate form for each course. (e.g., If requesting both Foreign Relations and Economic Indicators & Visualization 2, you must complete and submit the form twice.)

  • Please note that the department is not responsible for missing requests if multiple courses are listed in a single form.

• For courses split into multiple sections, individual section increases are not permitted if open seats remain in another section.

• Courses held in Room 117 (Computer Lab), such as Economic Statistics and Economic Data Analysis & Practice, have limited seating, making capacity increases unlikely. Please keep this in mind when applying.

4. Process & Next Steps

• This survey is intended to gauge student demand. Decisions regarding actual capacity increases will be made following departmental discussions.

• Details regarding approval, methods, and seat counts will be posted on the major notice board after August 27. Please wait for further notice.

• Emailing professors directly will ultimately be redirected back to the department office and this official process. Please apply only through the method provided above.

• Late applications outside the designated period will NOT be accepted under any circumstances. Please submit your request strictly within the deadline.
