In accordance with Article 45 and 49 of the "Incheon National University Regulations" and Articles 21, 22, and 24 of the "Implementation Rules of Incheon National University Regulations," we provide the following information regarding the leave of absence and reinstatement applications for the 1st semester of the 2025 academic year.

Application Period: From February 3 (Monday) to February 7 (Friday), 2025
- Note: In special cases, applications for leave of absence and reinstatement can be submitted until the 1/3 point of the academic schedule (April 7, 2024, Monday).

Eligibility: Students who wish to apply for leave of absence or reinstatement.
- Important Notes:
- New students who enrolled in 2023 or later cannot apply for a leave of absence during their first two semesters (except for military leave, illness, or parental leave).
- Transfer students, re-admitted students, and students who changed their major cannot apply for a leave of absence in their first semester (except for military leave, illness, or parental leave).
- Freshmen who entered the university in majors subject to assignment are not allowed to take leave during their first semester (applicable to students enrolled until 2022).

Application Method and Approval Process:
- Student applies (via Portal) → Department approval → Academic Affairs Team approval
- Note: International students cannot apply online, and must submit a completed form through the International Education Support Team to the Academic Affairs Team.
- The final processing time for academic status updates is 7 days.

Academic Guidance:
- Cancellation of leave/reinstatement is only possible within the 1/3 point of the academic schedule, and requires submission of a cancellation form to the department for approval, followed by submission to the Academic Affairs Team.
- If a leave of absence is taken after the 2/3 point of the academic schedule, the semester will be counted as a registered semester, and students will receive grades even if they do not attend classes or exams. Therefore, submission of grade recognition form is required.
- Students receiving certain scholarships (including leadership or merit scholarships) should consult the Student Support Team before applying for a leave of absence (☎ 032-835-9265).
- Students planning to reinstate and wishing to apply for dormitory accommodation should wait until their reinstatement is approved before applying. Please ensure that approval is received before the dormitory application period (application period: February 7 (Friday) to February 10 (Monday)).
- Students who wish to take a leave of absence after paying tuition should apply for leave after the tuition payment during the registration period (Registration period: February 17 (Monday) to February 21 (Friday), 2025).
